so i'm trying to get sound playing on the client side with various clients: server: Windows 7 RC server running in VMWare Fusion virtual machine client: rdesktop Linux with -r sound:local = no sound client: rdesktop Mac with -r sound:local = no sound client: Remote Desktop Connection 2.0 Mac = no sound client: Remote Desktop Connection XP SP2 = sound works! connecting all of the above clients to Windows XP Pro SP2 server sound works fine. anyone else experiencing this?

Leho - Windows Server 2008 R2 has been referred to as "Windows 7 Server" by somein the media. It's also in it's own Betatesting stages. You DID mention Windows 7 RCserver - hence the confusion.
